What should I be getting?

Hi all,
I have recently been unfairly dismissed  from my job of 2+ years, have appealed the decision and it seems as though the dispute may continue for some time, and as of the 17/06/2015 I am on 'Garden Leave', paid until 17/07/2015.
I have been working for a number of years so paying into my NI contributions etc.
My girlfriend works more than 24 hours a week, however is only on a low income therefore this will affect my eligibility for JSA although I will personally have no income coming in.
My girlfriend's income will definitely not support us both and I am currently looking into claiming housing benefit and am awaiting a decision.
Is there any other means I should be looking at, as after 17th July I will have no income?
Any advice / assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am 22 and actively seeking employment.

Sorry I forgot to add that information!
Partner is 19, she works 37.5hrs a week and takes back approx. £900 after tax.
No children. I do have anxiety for which I have medication, however unsure if this is classed as a disability!0 -

In general, simply having a condition will qualify you for nothing.
Contributions JSA is _NOT_ affected by your partners income - and would be payable for 6 months.
Was your dismissal a result of your anxiety, and was your employer aware of this?
In principle, also, tax-credits may be payable, and possibly housing benefit.0 -
if you have paid NIC for the qualifying years you are entiled to contribution based JSA for up to six months and your partners income is not counted
Its up to six months depending on your qualifying NIC0 -
You may be sanctioned from your eligibility to receive contributions based JSA as you were dismissed and this can be for up to six months.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Can you not increase the hours you work on your own business to generate more income ?0

I was dismissed due to my bradford factor scoring which was partly affected by my anxiety.
However, legally they can't dismiss me due to this alone and I have evidence of them stating that this is the only reason.
The period of illness that I was off that caused the Bradford factor to be exceeded I had 3 doctors visits (over 4 consecutive days) and had evidence that I physically could not have gone in which wasn't taken intoconsideration by my employer either.
I will call JSA today and see what they can do, hopefully they will see that my dismissal was unjust!0 -

So they monitored your absences, were they aware of your anxiety issue ?
What was your score ?0 -
Hi,
My advice would be to claim esa not jsa. Esa will not be sanctioned for your dismissal, whereas jsa is very likely to be. As you are with a Dr at the moment just ask for fit note and put the claim in.
This stops the likely sanctions, and you can transition to jsa from esa when you're feeling better.0
