Sorry but I honestly am no good with computers and have no idea how to start a new forum question.
If anyone could help that would be great or better still if anyone could help with the reason I'm on here.
I recently voluntarily surrendered my home and just two days ago it went to auction and got sold. There is an additional 15k owed by myself ( I only know this because I went to the auction and watched ) now I have heard nothing back from Halifax since the day I surrendered the keys which was about 3 months ago so therefore now the house has been sold and I in theory owe Halifax 15k... However, meanwhile during the past 3 months (namely on June 1st) I applied for a ppi claim against Halifax with all the info and paperwork thus very likely going to get a nice settlement figure.... since I've heard nothing back from Halifax in three months ...I was wandering would I get to keep the ppi as I am not yet on any debt management plan or nothing like that *yet* .. I should hear back from the ppi within the next 3/4 weeks and was wandering is there any way to 'get in there before they stick the knife in and use the money to pay off the debt I owe them' ... I'm just really skint atm and the money would be lovely to help with hard times.
Cheers

The lender will be in touch for the shortfall but these things take time you are still liable for this amount.
Unless, as you have posted on the B.R board you are b.r and the loan was taken out prior it will be included.

I took a personal loan out with Halifax in 2007 and fully paid it of in 2013 but and that's what I'm claiming back my ppi on. Since then I voluntarily surrendered my house 3 months ago and haven't heard anything about the shortfall I owe. It was sold at auction three days ago. Since the day I gave back the keys I haven't heard a word from Halifax ...in fact I still pay a current loan to Halifax this very day. But can afford it because I still work full time in a good job. I am wandering if when I get the ppi claim accepted will I be able to keep it or will Halifax take it of me? I'm not bankrupt and still pay of my loan to Halifax for a new car I bought in 2013.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

If you aren't bankrupt and the PPI relates to aloan then Halifax should refund you directly. They can't really offset that redress against another form of debt.
e.g. if you had outstanding amounts on a CC, they cant use loan PPI redress agasint that.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
That's great ....many thanks.0
