Default payment help.

Hi there I shall keep this short and simple just need a bit of help. I have 2 default payments on my account that I have payed off in full. Although Ive paid them off in full they are still showing the balance next to them instead of £0. If I could get my bank to clear this value down to £0 (which is what is should be) Would that help my credit or because its a default it doesn't make a difference.
Any help would be great. Thanks!
