Durham Cathedral have teamed up with gourmet chef Anton Edelmann (Former Executive Chef at The Savoy Hotel) and Master Sommelier Gerard Basset OBE to offer a spectacular wine and dine evening in the Medieval Undercroft Restaurant on Thursday 23rd July.
Inspired by John Thacker’s The Art of Cookery (1758) from the Cathedral’s collections, Anton will be offering a range of culinary delights like soured mackerel, baked ox cheeks and mille-feuille to be served alongside wine expertly chosen by Gerard. If that wasn’t enough, both Anton and Gerard will be on hand to talk about each dish and John Thacker’s book. Delicious food, superb wines, great company and stunning surroundings – this will be an evening like no other and we’ve got a pair of tickets (worth £150) to give away.
