Cheap Way to Remove Bumper Scuffs?

Hi
I rather foolishly reversed straight into a barrier in the pitch dark. Although the damage could have been worse, I've ending up scuffing the top layer off my Vectra bumper leaving the white plastic showing underneath.
Is there any cheap way fixing this myself of will have to take it to the likes of Chips Away? Also, any ideas how much Chips Aways would charge for minor scuffs on the front and rear bumpers. Could it be over £100?
Thanks

If you could post a photo of the damage, someone may be able to give you a rough idea about costs.0

There is a cheap way to do this, but it depends how much experience you have with spray cans and how much you care about your paintwork.0

Thanks DannyRST. To be honest I'm probably the type of person who is best getting a pro to do it, but thanks anyway.

If they are scuffs and not (light) scratches then a cheap way to remove them is by using either Cif Cream Cleanser* or toothpaste.
Using a damp cloth to apply start by rubbing lightly and if necessary build up the pressure to moderate/relatively firm, but stop short of rubbing hard. Then rinse off with water.
If after approx. 2mins the scuff hasn't started to budge or after a maximum of 5mins it hasn't gone stop working on it as you've got a scratch and you need to repaint/replace the bumper.
*If you have an own brand cleanser and it says on the packaging not to use on plastic baths, or it has a chalky/gritty feel when rubbed between your fingers, don't use as it will be too abrasive.0 -
Thanks for the idea Dclutterchique, however in my case the paint has been scuffed off leaving white plastic below. So in my case I reckon it will need painted over.
Cheers

:jThis company is currently doing half price on a scheme called "protect your bonus"
A bumper respray is £165. The blurb on the pamphlet says covers scratches dents up to golf ball size on bumpers
It's about half the usual price they charge . They have several branches , they did my previous car wing that had a dent and matched a difficult metallic finish with specs in the finish, Did a good job and even gave me a lift home after dropping off the car.
Plastic bumpers have to have a special primer that tolerates flexing.

Or you could buy a MINI0 -
Thanks, that's a bit pricey for me at the moment. Think I'll leave it for now, or consider the DIY option.
Cheers
