Complaint about Leeds Double Glazing Repairs
unhappy2015
Just a warning to residents of the Leeds area. I required locks changing and some repairs to my conservatory. I wanted to use a local firm and so employed Leeds Double Glazing Repairs who are also locksmiths. On the first phone call, the owner was very helpful and arranged to come and give me a quote. He arrived very late for the appointment, following my phone call to him, which prevented me from attending an appointment of my own. He quoted for all the works I asked for and the price was reasonable.
He arrived on time today, with his dad and left his dad on site (without sufficient tools) to do the work, as he had double booked himself. His dad did what work he could do, but then was sat in my garden for over 4 hours getting in the way of my other tradesmen, whilst waiting for his son to return. Eventually his son returned, applied a little silicone to the conservatory roof and then started on the last lock to be changed. I asked when he was going to re-seal the windows and he starting shouting at me saying that I just complain and that I wasn't going to pay him. He proceeded to remove the locks that had been fitted and took his tools from my house. Needless to say I won't be paying for any of the work, as none has been done! Please be aware when using smaller companies, please get recommendations from friends and family first.
