    so if you are lucky with renters, the only extras are insurance. For those who have tried purchasing garages, any ideas on costs of insurance and what it covers? Assume just a basic damage policy?

    Hmmm... if a poorly maintained, badly fitted or worn-out up-and-over garage door falls onto a tenant's classic car, I guess there could be interesting discussions about negligence and liability.
