I used ebookers a couple of years ago for a multi-centre trip to the States and found them very good, including the call centre in India. No problems whatsoever. I even argued them down something like 60% on the premium for travel insurance (which was with a reputable company like Swiss Re if I remember correctly).0

Used them through Quidco to book a hotel for London in March. Still not tracked. Hotel booking was fine though.0

Any agency handling large numbers of bookings is bound to have some that go wrong. The test is how well they sort things out when they do go wrong.
With ebookers all telephone and email queries to customer services are handled by agents in India. In my experience, they try to be helpful, but if your query does not fit into one of their standard categories, they ignore what you are saying and send the standard reply that seems closest. They have virtually no discretion and cannot override any of the computerised systems, even when these have clearly gone wrong.
At present there seem to be a number of technical problems with their website which result in incorrect flight times being displayed in travel itineraries.
Although many people use ebookers without problems, I would try to avoid them on the basis that other booking agencies offer better customer service when problems do arise.0 -
Not used them but seen some very good deals on there recently in their sale.
They offer cashback through quidco.0 -

they have good prices, but CANNOT and WILL NOT help you if something goes wrong - eg your tickets are late arriving etc, as I have learnt to my cost having assumed that because i didn't receive paper tickets from them that which rather took the bargain out of my break. I called their customer sevices from the airline desk, and although they had all of my details, they were unable to co-operate with the airline to re-issue the ticket.
Despite that, I would still use them again if the price was right, I would just check my paperwork much more carefully than usual0
