new laptop guidance

suggestions for a new laptop would be welcome
have been running a dell vostro 1510 for six years but the keyboard is knackered, screen cracked and i guess it's probably had a good innings so looking to replace before it dies completely
current laptop i think was was 3gb memory + 200gb hard drive
new laptop would mostly be used for internet plus excel/word, tablet is of no interest really as i want a reasonable size screen and proper keyboard for typing docs
it won't be used for games/movies and the existing hard drive never got more than about 75% full so i don't think i use masses of storage
suggestions welcome, not interest in spending more than i need but would be happy to get 5+ years from the next one
if any more info is needed to make your suggestions let me know
