Banking Fraud Victim

I have been a victim of banking fraud which might in fact be a total bank account takeover. I reported this within an hour of it happening on Sunday, I was told that the Barclay's Fraud Department is closed on a Sunday and that the fraud team will get in touch on Monday Morning. Since then all our accounts have been frozen no online banking no mobile banking debit cards cancelled etc we went into the bank Monday afternoon after hearing nothing and sorted all this out ourselves. Still nothing from Fraud and receiving various letter and texts from Barclays, saying welcome to Mobile Banking and or we have cancelled your debit card and are sending you a new one none of which we have generated. We call Barclay's, have spent hours on the phone and the branch to find out what is going on but no one can tell us as its under investigation and we are due a call! MY QUESTION; can I move bank accounts which oddly enough I was about to do when this happened. I hate Barclay's Bank

Did you lose any money, You never mentioned if you did? And if not, Am not sure how you can hate barclays for protecting your money.
of course you can move bank, But you probably wont be able to switch bank account when the account is froze for fraud reasons.0 -
they took £2400 and Barclay's said they would give us a temporary loan to cover this while it is under investigation but nothing has yet been investigated as we have received no call from the Fraud Team but things are still happening so fast that we have no access to our money. We have money going in from our salaries and pensions and I presume money going out to pay bills etc but we cannot find out what is actually happening day to day in the account and at the moment we have no access to cash as everything is being cancelled even the new debit cards we got at the branch on Monday. I keep a tight hold on our bank account daily, through necessity I'm afraid as I do not want any bank charges. I hated Barclay's before hence I was about to move anyway and now with this and the way it has been handled, NOT, I really do want to move now so that we can get our life back so I wanted to know if I could, that way the fraudsters can do no further harm0

It is Barclays not Barclay's.
Have to agree with other posts - if you could access your accounts so could the hackers/fraudsters.
Firstly run a total sweep of any computer you use to log in to internet banking to see if you have any viruses or malaware such as a key logger.
I know it is frustrating not getting the information you require but I would call at a branch with identification and ask for a temporary statement of your account. This will show the transactions that have gone through and you can work out if any have not.0 -
How did they take the money? Was it a bank transfer or what? And why have they frozen your accounts?0
