Insurance for business when director has prep been liquidated

Hi
I was a director of a company which went into liquidation in 2009 and was dissolved in 2013.
Have now set up a new business in a completely unrelated field and am struggling to get business insurance because of history.
Has anyone got any recommendations of insurers that offer this cover?

Question is if any director has been involved in a company gone into liquidation.

Are you applying directly to insurance companies? It may be worth using a broker who should know which companies are best to approach.0
