Am I entitled to working tax credits

Getting mixed responses and have to wait approx a month to be told by hmrc. I earn £435.50 a week that is after ni and tax removed. Am I still entitled to it. This is our only income a week

Highly unlikely on that income however you'd need to give a lot more information.

    Age?
Are you single or living with a partner?
    Any disabilities?
    Any children?
How many hours do you work? If a partner how many hours do they work?
What is the gross income? Was last year's income different? If so what?

    31 partner 31
    No disabilities
    3 children under 6
    I work 55 hrs a week, wife doesn't work
Last years weekly wage was £500 a week after tax/ni

Tax credits are worked out on gross income i.e. before tax and ni have been taken off

So last year you earned approx £34,000 ?
You were still receiving about £30 a week in Housing Benefit in January, how much were you getting in WTC ?

    Just curious....:)
  • Lee8040, no offence but I think you should definitely not be entitled to WTCs.

WTCs is for the low paid. You're on a good salary compared to some people out there.

Be thankful for what you have and don't try and bleed the system.

I'm not bleeding the system, I was receiving it and it stopped but online said I should still be getting it
