    Unless you are currently out of pocket financially why not wait a few years to be sure there are no long term effects and then claim?

    I'd compare the compo "experts" with estate agents trying to value a house. They'll try to get the maximum amount but there are enough guidelines and historical data to put a price on it. It's not rocket science.

    Just google "Injury compensation calculator" and the "experts" websites will pop up with some nifty tools to temp you into a claim.
    Mr Straw described whiplash as "not so much an injury, more a profitable invention of the human imagination—undiagnosable except by third-rate doctors in the pay of the claims management companies or personal injury lawyers"
