Hi everyone
Can anyone please help me. I am not completely computer illiterate but all the responses I get when I google don't give me enough info.
I bought an external USB hard drive and plugged it into my laptop (XP home) it detected and began formatting but my laptop power died and it was interupted now it detecs the "USB mass storage" in device manager but it's not working and I am getting a code 10 error.
Looked in disk management and no external HD is showing. Tried un/reinstalling all USBs and still not working.
I have no driver CD with the Hard drive - not even sure what make it is.

i've had this before. its when its installing the standard windows drivers i think. i've generally had it with cheap hard drive caddie cases.
i think i got rid of it by uninstalling all my usb drivers then re installing them. something silly like that.0
