Tax credits renewal

Good afternoon

Hopefully someone can help me, I'm due to renew my tax credit award but in November last year I had a reduction in working hours from 37.5hrs to 27hrs.
I have my P60 and the income details from that for the last year, but my income will not be near what last years was (near £3500 less).
Last year I received free school meals for my son but the income I earned last year exceeds the threshold for this coming year and I know I won't get the free meals based on last years earnings.

How can I explain on the tax credit renewal form that my projected income for this year is lower or will it make a difference?

Thanks in advance for any help/answers
Catherine

Thank you blondebubbles, do I just tell them what my new salary will be this year? Do you know will last years earnings still be considered?
    Thanks
