I usually work on around £60 per room per night, so I think you're about right for budget :).

Many thanks for your help balletshoes, I have bought our annual passports tonight :)

As I've got Kyraid booked on a cancellation rate do you think I should wait and see what comes up as a package to see if its any cheaper? Or do I book Cheyenne and can't cancel and go down the tickets separate?

    So confusing.

I think if you,re happy to stay at the kyriad if nothing else comes up in your budget, then i,d wait and see if a flash sale comes up for an onsite package for your dates, before buying park tickets separately.

Really I would like to be paying £250/300 per couple (all in) but I'm not sure how realistic that is as never been in November before. We are 4 adults so don't mind staying on site or off but don't particularly want to stay round Val D'Europe.

I can cancel up until 10th November so maybe I will just wait.
  • Hi all – just found this thread yesterday and in need of initial advice as i’m ok when it comes to most deal finding but DLP is asking me more questions than answers!

I’m trying to find the best value/most convenient deal for a friend of mine to go to DLP with her 8 yr old daughter, but am getting confused with on-site/off-site accommodation, park tickets that are/aren’t valid on certain days/consecutive days and how best to get there/back?

Here’s a few things she needs:

1 adult, 1 child to go to DLP
Train or plane (doesn’t like driving) from Yorkshire (so either Leeds/Manc stations or LBD or MAN airport)
Ideally 3 or 4 nights (Mon 19th – Fri 23rd August 2013, but can be a few days either way of these dates if weekend/not weekend makes a difference?)
Each day to have a ‘standard’ DLP park ticket/pass.
Hotel (not camping) either on-site or off-site to be within 20mins of park by walking/bus/train/shuttle.
    Breakfast included in accommodation

If someone could suggest a rough price for transport to/from (including all transfers) and for DLP (including hotel and tickets) above then it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

she needs to break it all down and look at each part separately.

Travel - if by train/Eurostar, she needs to look at her train carrier's website for fares to London, and if she hasn't got a family and friends railcard, tell her to get one (full price is £28 but there are often discount codes kicking around or she can pay with tesco clubcard vouchers).

Eurostar - look on the Eurostar website. Depending on what time her train arrives/departs before and after the Eurostar, she may need to consider a London hotel overnight too, which in August is going to be very expensive.

If by plane - check skyscanner and her preferred airports websites for which carriers fly from them to Paris CDG airport. Transfers between the airport and Disney area hotels for 2 are in the region of 30-40 euros each way.

As the child is 8, I wouldn't go for a Disney package sold by Disney for August, instead I'd buy a Fantasy annual pass at 125 euros and the child gets one for 35 euros, through cemultiavantages. Then she can stay nearby in a hotel which offers free shuttles to and from the parks, and she'll still have all the advantages of staying onsite as far as her park access is concerned (as well as getting discounts off food and souvenirs with the annual pass while she is there). The total for her park tickets for however long she wants to go for (there are no restricted access dates in August for the fantasy annual pass) through cemultiavantages would be around 185 euros, including postage and site joining fee.

For hotels, the most convenient offsite ones are the Kyriad, Explorers, Dream Castle and Magic Circus hotels, look for those on trivago, alpharooms, expedia, hotels.com, travelrepublic etc. Play around with check-in dates, often a Friday or Saturday is more expensive than the other week dates to check in.

If the associated hotels above are too expensive, she could broaden her search to include val d'europe (one stop and 5 minutes by train from DLP) and bussy st george (2 stops and 10ish minutes by train from DLP).

Wow - thanks balletshoes - exactly the kind of advice I needed!!!

I'll go through each part separately (as you suggest) and then feed the info back to her!

Really appreciate the point in the right direction(s)!!!

Just a tip for anybody wanting to book one of the partner hotels, I have spent the past few days umm'ing and aah'ing about which one to book and trying to find better deals etc. and had finally settled on the Explorers hotel, but having just read some reviews which weren't brilliant I was having second thoughts.

I just happened to look on lastminute.com and they have several 'top secret' hotels, where they do not advertise the name of the hotel but it is quite easy to guess from the description (whether or not a free shuttle is included etc and the hotel theme), which it might be. So I have just bagged the Magic Circus for £200 cheaper than I had been quoted on all other sites, and £70 cheaper than I had been quoted for the Explorers hotel. I am really pleased :D We are having a week there but will most probably go into Paris to see the sights as well as Disney :D I did notice one of the other 'top secret' hotels looked like it was the Radisson Blu too.

Hi, we are heading to Euro Disney end of July, Im travelling by car via Hull and my daughter and husband and two children (6 and 4) are flying to CDG, I am looking at the transport from CDG to the park and was looking at Isprestige transfer service which is 130 euros return. Do you know if this is a reliable service or if they would be better to travel by train?
    thanks, Shaz :-)
