  • just to try and calm your nerves a little more.....

CDG is a really professional airport, you will walk off the plane and just follow everyone else to the baggage collection. Once you have your luggage you will calmly (if a little excitedly) walk to catch the bus or train. The bus runs to a timetable but don't worry, if you see a queue it won't last long, the very helpful staff will ensure there are enough busses for everyone. Just tell the driver which hotel. If you get the TGV you will arrive at Disney and have to get the bright pink bus to your hotel.

When you get to your hotel it might be a bit of a scrum, but don't worry if it is 'cos they are prepared for it (even if you aren't)! Take some time during the flight and the train/bus journey to talk about breakfast in the park, what time you want breakfast, that sort of stuff, plan the shows/parades you want to watch and what rides you want to do. By planning what you do it will take your mind off the bits you are worrying about.

Money, let's be honest you can spend a fortune at Disney, the trick is to plan ahead and remember a few tricks. The breakfast is great, make sure you eat loads, have a light lunch - share meals rather than buying one for each of you. The buffet meals are good value, avoid the table service "posh" restaurants, the menus are very restricted and expensive. Avoid the shops, the temptation can be too much!

Try not to make an army manoevre of it all, my mum tends to do this and all you get for your trouble is very tired and grumpy people, not a good way to go.

    and then there's this.....

A soon as you get there the magic will take hold of you, suddenly you are in the magical world that is Disney, everyone is there to have a good time, there is no danger, you will never feel threatened - suddenly you can dream that the world is this perfect place where no-one needs to worry.

OK so I love Disney so I'm biased, come back and tell us just how great a time you have had, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

    Morning

does anyone know of a budget hotel near disney to stay in? we are going over new years, 2 adults, 2 children, on the eurotunnel so will have the car.

All the chains like Ibis seem to only accomodate 3 and I really dont want 2 rooms (though the eldest is 12).

Trying to get to disney for new years eve for as little as possible! With clubard vouchers got tunnel down to £18, now just need the hotel and to book the disney tickets!

    Thank you for your help.
do you have any clubcard vouchers left or will you be getting many in novembers statement??
i paid for my whole trip to disney with airmiles that i had converted from clubcard vouchers.
if you dont have that many you could always use what you do have to pay for part of the hotel and pay the rest cash.
    its worth looking into.
