Right Well, I thought i was fairly clued up on computers, more than the norm anyway, so recently decided to try and upgrade my Ram from 512 to 1 gig but all did not go to plan, i had a series of crashes so i reverted back to the original ram and everything worked fine again...........or so i thought.
Firstly i noticed that i wasnt getting any sound anymore, secondly i noticed my cd drive went missing?? So decided to try and investigate but to my annoyance every time i go into the device manager absolutely nothing comes up, just the blank device manager window, absolutely no sign of any devices whatsoever
. The comp is still working fine, a lil slow but apart from what ive said its running ok.
Can anyone advise me further please as im now officially stuck scratching my head.
many thanks in advance

Repair install or Restore, looks like some system files are damaged.0
-
Or you could try sfc /scannow .Start ,run then put in sfc gap /scannow0

Try a system restore like Paulk suggests which may be the easiest option.0
