I've just bought a KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch.
I've been using multiple pcs and screens for years now.
The ability to have run 2 pcs with a single keyboard, mouse and screen just never really occurred to me.
I've been using the switch for a week now and it really is a peach.
The doubling of physical space around me is really odd.
I see you can get a usb extension now. It means you don't need ps2 connectors.
The switch I'm using means a simple key combo toggles pcs.
My carbon footprint is just not so deep now..
For a tenner.
Why didn't I do this years ago?

Uh, and I just gave my 4 PC KVM switch away for free, incl. the cables ! Hadn't used it in years, what's the point of running several computers in a cramped London 1-bed flat ...
Anyway, do they manufacture these boxes with DVI ports nowadays or are they still for VGA cables only?0 -

I'm doing something similar by using remote desktop from my laptop to the pc under the stairs (which is headless) .I'm also using vmwares free virtual machine server so that I have 2 machines in 1.0
