I had a really good service from Lloyds when someone accessed my account illegally. At the time I was backpacking round Australia and at that very moment was in a campervan at Ayres Rock, 6 hours drive from the nearest village.

Lloyds were brilliant, sorted everything out with my mum will minimal fuss from me. Was very much appreciated.

MBNA did well in the OP's case, but what bothers me about MBNA is they continually send me unsolicited credit card cheques. What happens if they go astray in the post?

i did ask mbna to stop sending me mail eg the cheques and i was told no they couldnt do that, reason i asked was that i dont use the cheques so it seemed a bit pointless plus it might save them a bit of money

When I had my MBNA card ( Don't have one anymore ) I rang them and told them to stop sending me paper cheques as I would never use them because they are charged as per a Cash Advance and that they just went straight into the shredder. The Cheques stopped - so it can be done ( Or at least it could be done )
