Halifax Clarity Card reward

Having just got this card it will be a while before I see a £5 reward. I also have a Reward current account which pays £ 5 a month. Will that turn into £10 or are there two £5 added instead?

The Clarity £5 is credited to the card account, not your current account.

Yep, as dj says the card reward is credited to the card, the current account receives the £5 current account reward.

Does the £5 credit appear at the start of the month? And I assume it won't appear until the month after the outstanding amount on the card is paid.
    Thanks

Correct, you get the credit the following month once your payment has been received and processed.

So this could put your card in "credit" which is against the T&C of the card :o

Yes and I've had that happen since I only use it infrequently for overseas spending. Deliberately putting the card into credit is against the T&Cs but they're not bothered if it's due to the credit, refunded purchase etc.

It's only against the T&Cs if the customer puts the account in to credit.

There are several legitimate ways to put a credit card account in to credit that don't break the T&Cs. This is one of them.

I have a clarity card and didn't even know about the £5 award if you spend £300/month. Guess I should start using it apart from just when I am abroad :)

As long as you also have a Halifax current account into which you pay £1K a month.
