Hi,
I'm looking to buy a Kia Picanto LS as it comes with free car insurance...
Would anyone recommend one of these? I'm 22, had my licence since april 06, not driven since christmas (hence wanting to get a nice little car with the free insurance!) and it'd be used for work, getting me to the stables and back etc... hardly any motorway driving as I live on the isle of wight
What can anyone recommend? all advice appreciated!
thank you

Just check the small print of the offer. These 'free' offers are often tied into expensive dealer finance.0

Citroen have had these deals on for a while now actually ....and the foc insurance offers they have on the table this month aren't linked to having to take any finance from them at all.“Official Company Representative

I have a picanto and I love it.
The boot is a bit small, but unless you have kids thats no a problem.
I read some where if Kia gave 5 years instead of 3 on the picanto no one else whould sell small cars.
It`s a second car, but hubbie has driven it on the motorway and it was fine.
They are cheap to run and my insurance was cheap, but I am older than you with full no claims.
Nice car, plus nice to have 5 doors, was looking at a clio but could have only got a 3 door one, glad i went with the kia.0 -
At Motorpoint you can get a new one for £49990

how much can insurance be on the isle of white, you would have to be mental to knick a car you need a ferry to move and it woulnt exacly have many major road traffic issues.
the depreciation on new cars can be massive, might be worth checking around to see how much normal insurance is and you will have a wider choice of motors0 -

car aside - is insurance fully comp? what is excess? What business use will your car be used for? Just commute or through the day? Check all trips are covered, etc. Can you get rhe car cheaper elsewhere even with insurance added on? (ie motorpoint as someone said)
Is there a Kia dealership on the isle as well? As it could otherwise be a headache when it breaks down and needs towing via ferry to a dealer under warranty.matched betting: £879.63
