you may already have the software on your PC to burn disks, it usually comes with the writer, and is built into XP
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Hi Kelk72. Yes trial versions expire but no you will not be able to download another trial version so you either buy it or try something else.
Assuming you have windows media player that is the easiest way to go (and, if not you can get it free.)
Upload your pics or data onto your pc.
Put a cdr or cdrw into your burner
Start up Windows Media Player and re-size it. Click on 'Burn'.
At the bottom of the 'burn ' button you will see a tiny white arrow. Click on that.
in the dropdown list Click on 'Data CD' (If you were buring a music cd you would click on 'Audio CD')
Drag your pics into where it says 'drag here to create a burn list'.
Click on 'Start Burn' and stand back. How Easy is That !!
Incidentally I normally get my Blank media from here http://svp.co.uk/products-list.php?bid=13
but as you will only be getting a small amount I would suggest a local PC Shop because of carriage costs.

Or just get them in Tesco, they normally have decent offers on and even their cheapo own brand ones work fine.

CD-R and CD-RW are different types of discs.
CD-R is Compact Disc Recordable - you can only record on it once.
CD-RW is Compact Disc Rewritable - you can erase and record over it many times.
So if you're going to use the discs for storing photos on they don't need to be rewritable because you'll probably want to keep them permanently.
Also CD-RW are usually more expensive than ordinary CD-R.
(If you already knew all this, I'm sorry:p)
