Tiny strawberries
My son's strawberries that are growing in a container have loads of large leaves, lots of flowers, and he's had a couple of decent sized strawberries that have ripened hidden under the leaves. However the onese that are ripening now are really tiny. What are we doing wrong?
Also we have loads of tiny black flies underneath the leaves on the rhubarb. What do we do? Am reluctant to use any pesticides as it's stuff we eat and it's in the middle of the veg plot.

My first thoughts for the strawberries are have they been having enough water.
Are the rhubarb flies blackfly sucking on the leaves or fungus gnat flying around? Blackfly can be zapped with a spray of dish detergent and water (I use it about bubble mixture strength) which clogs up their pores and fungus gnat I would probably ignore. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
