HDMI connection to VGA Monitor

It only has HDMI and USB out
He has an Acer AL1916W monitor that he wants to plug into it at home, this only has a VGA connection.

Would an HDMI/VGA adapter work??

free postage on orders over £10 , so do a bit more shopping for leads etc , sound output cannot travel over a VGA cable , so you plug a 3.5mm audio lead into the box.


I have to use this when I use my intel NUC on my desk , as I hav,nt got HDMI input to my monitor.

yes there are , and most come from china , after buying 4 different ones THAT DID NOT WORK , I spent slightly more , or actuallyy less than 4 **** ones that did,nt work and had it delivered the next day , not a month later!

I can't comment on that as my monitor has no speakers either.

hence the reason for suggesting a audio extension lead at the same time , that way the audio from the HDMI will be sent , rather than a feed from the h/phone socket , ie: just one cable coming from the laptop (hdmi)
