Income support run on

Hi. I'm new, & trying to get some info. I was claiming income support for just over a year, when I then started work. I called the job centre dealing with me, and I was told to write a letter confirming the date I was starting etc.
This I did, and I also recieved a back to work bonus. This was Jan this year. I have since spoken to a friend, last week, and she said that she has been told she will get a £40 a week run on bonus for 52 weeks. She also got a back to work bonus.
What I want to know is if anyone knows what this £40 for 52 weeks is? And, although I stopped claiming in Jan, is there anyway I can get it backdated. I was never told about it - but if I'm entitled, why shouldn't I get it.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Its called an 'in work' credit and is indeed payed for 52 weeks, your lone parent advisor should have actioned it, was it him/her who actioned the back to work bonus ? give them a call

It depends on where you live. The in work credit is only paid in certain 'pilot' areas. Does your friend live in the same area as you? If so it's likely that you should also be entitled to it and you should contact the jobcentre.0
