Car insurance

Options
Hello, can you wonderful people confirm if multiple insurance policy searches (some with different information)for a car can result in the insurance being terminated?

Thanks

Lots of quotes wont be an issue, variation on the details maybe an issue though.

Its you get a quote with points and then take out a policy with zero points their system may pick it up and query you, although the companies that let the computers do all the work could cancel the policy instead.

Dont play with the system using your real name/car/adress etc. but there again the same internet connection same PC etc etc can also be tracked.

It itself wont cause the cancellation but can result in a lot more questions being asked/ evidence asked to be provided etc which if you cannot satisfactorily evidence may then result in its cancellation.

Depends on what sort of information you're talking about. If you're trying different excesses to see the effect on your policy or trying different types of car because you're not sure what sort to buy it shouldn't be a problem. But if you (say) get a quote where you disclose a drink driving conviction, then get another one without the conviction when you don't like the result, or if you're changing your mind about whether you or your dad is the main driver, then at the very least you're going to raise alarm bells and you might find that the insurer has some serious questions to ask you about what the truth is.

I'm currently banned and was fiddling about with some of the information.

I changed points, ban start date and how long I've been driving. This was just to get a rough estimate on how much I would be looking at when ablw to drive..

Once able to drive I'll be honest with all dates points, dates as all other info. It was just out of curiosity.

EDIT: I also did remove my ban just to see how much I would of paid without it. I will disclose this of course.
