Windows 8.1 - Secure Connection Failed

Keep getting Secure Connection Failed for bank site and work login from home.

I have tried googling, different browsers and suggestions on internet seems nothing resolves.

Windows 8.1 PC refuses to connect, yet on Windows 7 PC I can connect to same pc using same browsers - Firefox/IE.

Can anyone help please.

May seem a little basic but have you made sure that your time/date/timezone are fully correct?

Can you also post the full error as likely you'll have more information than just "secure connection failed".

Also try putting the website URL into https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html and seeing if this returns any errors.

If it returns "One of the certificates is signed with a SHA1 signature". It could be something to do with SHA1 Deprecation (https://community.qualys.com/blogs/securitylabs/2014/09/09/sha1-deprecation-what-you-need-to-know)

I didn't much like Win8 so I downloaded Classic.shell.net, I have Google Chrome but it works with all OS.
It works like Win7 after you download so perhaps your problem will cease to exist?:D

Why on earth would you think this has anything to do with the OP problem?
