I may be buying a new laptop, but what will happen or what do I do about the Avast Internet Security that I use as it is the paid for version.

Before I look at your welcome links, can I thank you.
If I had saved the emails when I bought this acer aspire 9420 which runs vista ultimate, at least I would know how long I've had this laptop, but so many things seem to be leading me along the path of replacing it.
My provider is TT and I've been with them years and years and am reasonably happy with them, after all I joined when it was "free broadband forever", but things change. Last week they replaced my router and modem with an all-in-one which is fine, but the broadband light seems to flicker constantly, so I rang them today, only to find a recorded message saying they are aware of problems and are doing their best etc.
Then I have start up issues which result in me having to re-start. Many times I have to force closure, by long pressing power button. I have tried and used maxthon, chrome, firefox, slimjet and pale moon of late, just to get a bit of faster service. Currently it's FF as everything else has been removed.
Recently mail-on-line for example, dropped down in jerks rather than smooth scrolling but it seems ok now.
With windows 10 coming out in July, I may just bite the bullet and put this maching out to graze and replace it. Thankfully I have an ipad.
Now to look at and save your links, thanks.
PS, I have opened each and saved the url's and they are in a folder in my email account, so they can be retrieved as and when. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
