Hi all
Not sure if this is posted in the right forum but, if not, could someone advise me where it would be best placed please.
Can anyone recommend a DVD scratch repair machine/kit? I have looked on Amazon but they all appear to have mixed reviews. My young daughter has loads of scratched DVDs and, up to now, we have just been replacing them but some of them are getting a bit hard to find.
Any recommendations/advice would be great, thanks.

There are postal services where you post it off and they mend and return it. But I guess you need to look at reviews to find a good one, they might just be using the crappy machines you can buy on eBay or they might be using more professional expensive equiment.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

I don't know about DVDs, but I've used a program called EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to rip CDs. Even badly scratched, completely unplayable CDs can usually be read and copied to a new CD-R. I reckon it would "fix" the scratches far better than a scratch-repair kit.
Maybe there's some similar software for DVDs...?0 -
I've had some great success with a manual version of Skipdr,
http://www.amazon.co.uk/REPAIR-SYSTEM-Blank-Memory-Accessories/dp/B00SV4XIGU/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1435431864&sr=8-17&keywords=skip+dr
You might be able to borrow one or get one off ebay a bit cheaper.
I haven't tried the electric ones though.
