HSBC's New £120 Switch Offer
TheEffect

From Monday, HSBC will apparently be offering £120 to those who switch to their HSBC Advance account. £120 for switching, £120 for the ISA = £240 for the first year.

Interested - Have you read this somewhere or HSBC told you about this offer?0

Sounds good if true - seems like a decent account with a decent ISA and regular saver offer.
Would also like to know where this rumour has come from...0 -
Hi, The offer is correct. Just done a quick web chat with HSBC and they confirmed from Monday £120 switching offer will apply + the usual Save together ISA.0

But you can only open one ISA a year. That means if you've already paid into one, you can't do this.
While I've paid into my ISA I've far from maxed it out, surely I can switch it?Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0

That's correct, the HSBC Loyalty ISA allows transfers in: http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/savings-accounts/cash-isa/transfer
Even if you had maxed your 2015-16 ISA, you could transfer it in (subject to the terms of your existing ISA).
You will have to transfer your entire 2015-16 cash ISA as current year deposits cannot be split.0 -

Should be this:
"But you can only open one cash ISA a year."
You can have both cash ISA and S&S ISA, as long you are under the allowance limit.
Am I correct? You will only fail to learn if you do not learn from failing.

Yes you are spot on provided you do not exceed £15240 in total across both ISAs. E.g. £10k in cash £5240 in S&S.0 -
I was just rejected for opening an Advance account, I'm guessing I'd be rejected again if I tried to switch My Nationwide account next month.0
