Last night just before I turned in for the night, a well-meaning gent started a thread that contained a very clever tool that optimised the process of daisy chaining the funding requirements .
Thread is gone ! editorial interference ? and censorship ? of a very useful piece of software.

Edit: This looks like a really nice tool and my first thought as to why it was removed was that those open buttons contained referral links or something, but no, they were clean links to the banks' websites. I can only imagine MSE deemed this as competition to its own guide which does contain referral links benefitting Moneysupermarket group.0 -

Presumably it was removed as self-promotion. Easy fix for that: Bank Account Savings Planner.0

Possibly, although in this case the buttons are just using a standard HTML <button onclick="window.open(...)> tag. It's making use of JQuery but other scripting is embedded in the page. The markup is really nicely laid out.Archi_Bald wrote: »Couldn't a smart programmer just create the required cookies?
Also, Privacy Badger didn't detect anything, which is pretty unusual for a website these days.0 -
By the way, the reason I didn't link back to this discussion or to the cached old one is that moderators or site owners can consider it inappropriate to link to discussion that has been removed. So more chance of the new topic sticking around without any mentions.0
