mini whinge, re pay as you go SIMS - no call charge info on packs?

Options
I see various firms offering SIMs, some with a few quid starter credit, but the packs I have seen rarely gives info on costs of calls, texts, data etc, < ALL together > ?

I think shops might sell more of these, if there was a wall chart / sign in the display, with prices.

Having to look up prices online, AFTER you've bought the thing, seems odd.

    Here's an idea:

Why not look up prices online BEFORE buying the thing?

The would also have the added benefit of ensuring you actually bought the most appropriate product. ;)

The probable reason for not displaying call, data and text prices is that there are so many different packages and plans available.

O2 for example have at least 11 different SIM only non contract deals and once you start taking contract deals into account, there will be far more.

I know it's not the MSE way, but this would have been a *shock* impulse buy, as was not planning to buy one, before I saw them..

As in OP, I feel at least a poster showing tariffs should be displayed..

Did you consider asking the vendor?

Sticking with O2, their out of pack charge are eyewatering: http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/pay-and-go-big-bundle-tariff-charges: calls 35p/minute, SMS 14p. Charts explaining all the add-ons would take up a lot of wall space.
