Took delivery of new Polo on Tuesday and noticed time/ date display were incorrect, just thought that someone in garage had set it wrong.

Reset the time but on later using the car noticed again the time was wrong had moved forward 5 hours in space of 2 hours.

Called into VW dealer mechanic looked at clock and reset it, but in the space of 20 minutes it again had moved forward by 1 hour.

They claim that this is the first time they have seen this problem and I have had to book it in for investigation next week.
Has anyone on here experienced the same problem and if so what was the outcome?

I'm sure they'll just replace the clock.

But this clearly demonstrates the car is not fit for purpose. If I were you I would immediately reject the car under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act.*

    It's a faulty piece of hardware/software.

It will be replaced under warranty as per any issue that occurs within the warranty period.

I'm afraid here, "up North" ,the clock would be less reliable than the present one!

VW have been having a hell of a problem with some modules in the Polo. The dealership has moved heaven and earth to try and solve the problems in our Granddaughters new Polo. They ordered new modules from Germany which did not work when they arrived. Took a stock car which was OK and stripped out the module and put it into her car to find this one had stopped working . Problem seems to revolve around the systems computer but also the radio and media. She has just got the car back after 5 weeks with a replacement vehicle

Can you tell me what was the initial problem with your granddaughters car?
