If someone places a bid it then removes the "Buy it now" price.
Another attempt by seller to aviod fees as its cheaper to list it this way than a straight out "buy it now" if I remember correctly.
Bid = 1p
Buy it Now = 1p
Obviously what seller is doing is against the rules. As someone mentioned it could cause a problem if buyer requires a refund.0 -

Actually it costs more to list an auction with a BIN as well. A straight BIN would have been cheaper...just shows you the seller is a bit dim.
As for refunds, only the seller will lose (told you she was dim) as paypal will refund the whole lot including post and packing but the RM will only pay out on the stated item cost of 1p, so seller better make sure that item doesn't get lost.
Anyway, the item has been quite rightly reported and is now an invalid item.
Ebay take fee avoidance very seriously indeed, under the new complaints = suspension rules that ebay are enforcing this seller is not likely to last long on ebay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A stranger walking down the road is not committing a "crime". Silly analogies won't help you.Why do people on this board think it is the god given duty to report other people, probably the net curtain brigade who gaze out of the window and phone the police every time a stranger walks down the road.
Oh, let's all do the same then - big deal. Ebay is hardly likely to go broke over it, is it? Erm... !So, this person is trying to save themselves a few quid in fees, Ebay is hardly likely to go broke over it, big deal.
I'm amazed you don't get it. You remind me of drivers whom I tackle for using mobile phones when I am cycling. More often than not, the question I get is "Are you a copper?"Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Post 10. has the best reason for reporting listings like that one.
The 'what's it to you' brigade entirely miss the point.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I had a listing removed as I put "like new" in the title . It was something I had taken out of the packet , realised it was no good and put it back in the packet and stuck it on Ebay . My listing gets removed but I bet if no one had reported this one it would have stayed on . Just my opinion .
Well Natalie, you and I have stirred up a right hornets nest. Thanks to you for mentioning it on here and me for reporting it, the item has been removed. Perhaps if everyone reported similar postings, Ebay fees may go down or they may have more Free Listing Days! On the other hand, their profits may just increase!To Dare is To Do:beer:0
