How often do equifax update credit files?

I've had something corrected on my credit file by Santander, reported the mistake on Monday, they investigated Tues-Weds, Weds they emailed the dept who updates credit files to get an emergency alteration, yesterday called to assure me it has now been actioned and should not be showing anymore.
There is no difference on my equifax report for that account. Do they update weekly?

They update whenever the data passes their QA etc. No set time.
I would leave it 48 hours then complain.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
