Does anyone know if there's in London some newsagents with lots of ads on the window? and can you give indications as to where they are roughly? the kind of things that used to be around before the Internet years when someone needed a room
I have to move out next weekend and I need something quickly, even if it's a cheap boxroom
thank you

All over the place ...walk down any high street0

Small post offices are also quite likely to have a small ads board.
As bouicca says, there's no substitute for pounding the streets to look for yourself.0 -
Try gumtree.0

They are usually in the scruffier bits of London, but they are literally in every newsagent or corner shop. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

Barber shops and fix your phone shops in South London(Brixton/Clapham/streatham) have them sometimes along with newsagents/mini markets. But spare room, easy roommate and gumtree likely to be better.
There are often students trying to sublet for the summer which would give you time to find something longer term.0 -
There are probably still shops with ads in the window but why in the 21st century would you want to trapse around them?
Try spareroom.com0 -
be careful of gumtree, had some dodgey rents in the past myself"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
