Buy discounted Dell now or wait?

Hi,
I plan to buy my son a new computer, and have been considering a Dell Inspiron 530. It seems quite good value, and there's the additional incentive of £40 off if bought by 15th August.
I understand that towards the end of August, decent discounts can be had on new computers (new academic year etc).
So my question really is: take the discount now and miss out on a potentially better deal later; or wait and hope for a better deal (and end up losing this deal). The total cost of the computer with the discount is £319 and my son's birthday is mid Sept. In addition is this computer any good or is there a better alternative. His preference is a desktop (with Vista) £300-£350 max. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/inspn_530?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs
Any advice gratefully received.

Watch out for the Dell shipping charges, thats usually the stinger.
If you can find a free shipping code then thats a good time to buy a Dell.0 -
I bought dell and dont remember paying shipping but there was some sort of offer on when I did so maybe it was free shipping. Im happy with my machine, but I did notice that certain little things are extra. Like a floppy disk drive (I didnt bother because I thought I dont use them, but there has been the odd occasion when I might have). Also extra was built in modem. I thought, dont bother as I have a broadband modem thingy already. But when we moved house and were on dial up for a few weeks I could have done with that modem! Speakers were extra too! So basic message is computer is OK, good value, but watch out for extras.0
