USB Modem

I am trying to bring my parent into the 21st century and have a quick question. They have inherited a laptop which only has usb ports and would like to be able to connect to the internet. They have opted for tiscalis pay as you go option. Can anybody recommend the cheapest external usb dial up modem that would best fit there needs.

    Dial up? Then, the laptop should have its own internal modem anyway. At least this is the case with my three lappies - the oldest being 7 years. I only need a USB modem now with broadband, and that was supplied by my service provider.

    EDIT - do you mean that it does not have an inbuilt telephone cable socket?
