Hi there I'm new here so be gentle!

I purchased an outdoor rabbit run for my two bunnies a few month back.

3 weeks ago, one of them suffered an injury to their eye which resulted in numerous trips to the vets and many medications and at the time we were unaware of what caused this.

Yesterday, her sister suffered the exact same horrific injury to her eye but we actually saw what happened this time, she caught it on a sharp edge on the inside of the run on the frame (the frame is made of thin steel bars). This, as you can imagine, made us assume this is what happened to the other rabbit.

The run was bought a number of months ago but I was curious as to my rights, as the run itself is the direct reason for these injuries that, in total have put me £400 out of pocket due to obvious poor manufacturing and putting animals in danger.

Any help would be appreciated :)

You would need to contact the company you bought it from to discuss the matter. Naturally the challenge is going to be proving it was the cause of the injuries if you are looking to reclaim the consequential losses.

Thanks for that. We have taken pictures of the inuries, and the area of the run which caused the incident (covered in blood and fur) so hopefully that would give us some backing. Just thought I would ask on here before I make the approach

Where did you buy it from?
Did you not notice the sharp edge when you assembled it?

Eeek, oh dear, I hope the bunnies are ok now. Definitely let the sellers know and It's also worth letting the RWAF know http://www.rabbitwelfare.co.uk/ they may be able to help liaise with the seller/manufacturer
