Fulfilled By Amazon - advice from any other sellers

Good point.
I don't really get why the customers bother but Amazon do seem to generate a customer loyalty that Ebay can only dream about.
Good service (1 year warranty on electrical items in a winner for me), fairly decent prices, free next day delivery (I haven't paid for Prime for 16 months now, the odd late parcel nets another months worth of Prime), free steaming of films, decent reviews section, ask other shoppers questions on the product page (no bias like when asking the seller), they advertise Prime on TV and run some very good offers.
Their recent 4 for 3 offer saved me a tenner on 4 of the same item as it wasn't a case of up the price before the offer starts.
I will order with independent sellers where I can but I see the draw of Amazon and their FBA program allows them to bring their service across even more items.
As more and more sellers use FBA the prices are falling where sellers compete (it was great 2 years ago, can't believe the prices we were getting back then) which also draws people in.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Even before I was selling a lot on there I've preferred buying on Amazon. There's certainly a different demographic buying there than on any other platform.the_lunatic_is_in_my_head wrote: »Good service (1 year warranty on electrical items in a winner for me), fairly decent prices, free next day delivery (I haven't paid for Prime for 16 months now, the odd late parcel nets another months worth of Prime), free steaming of films, decent reviews section, ask other shoppers questions on the product page (no bias like when asking the seller), they advertise Prime on TV and run some very good offers.

One other advantage of FBA is that they can send out goods not sold on Amazon. It's not a great deal but does come in handy occasionally. I could imagine a book seller could list on Facebook or their own website and offer first class delivery by Amazon..0
