Zenith Insurance Claim legal help

Hi,

I have had criminal damages caused to my motorbike that was locked outside my flat. I reported the incident to the police and to my insurance. This happened on the 9th of June. We are now the 25th and everything is still the same, i keep calling Zenith Insurance and all they do is apologise for being incompetent and they keep telling me to call my insurance broker Grove & Dean which are as useless as Zenith.

When i bought my insurance, fully comprehensive, they sold it with a courtesy vehicle option in case I need one, and in the past 2 weeks, Zenith and Grove&Dean keep throwing the ball at each other.

I am seeking legal advice because I don't believe that their job is to apologise for their lack of professionalism but to help us sort out our issues.

It was not even my fault, and i have been struggling with them for so long.

Companies like these should not be allowed to tread !

If anyone could give me advice or anything to keep me going that would be great.

A very disappointed and powerless customer :(

  • Each of them will have a complaint procedure listed in the paperwork they have issued to you.

Start the complaint procedure and this may put a brush up their !!!!!! as far as doing something.

Grove & Dean are the brokers and probably play a limited role in a claim situation, but as they arranged the policy, maybe they have a contact at Zenith who they can use to get some action taken.

Zenith are a pretty poor insurer at the cheap end of things so no surprises as to what is going on.

The courtesy vehicle is probably a vehicle provided by the repairing garage, if they have not yet arranged to get the bike to the garage for assessment, this is probably holding up the show as far as getting any sort of replacement.

As it is a malicious damage claim, it will go down as a "fault" claim and you will have to pay your excess towards the repairs. Have you any idea of the extent of damage or the likely cost to repair?

So what is the actual issue?

    Are the repairs going ahead?
Is the bike currently drive-able if the repairs havent started?
Is the bike a hire bike or simply a courtesy bike from the garage in the terms of your policy?
