Free entertainment in Cwmbran & Pontypool this weekend!
Options
There are 3 irish/celtic music sessions in Cwmbran & Pontypool this coming weekend.
Friday 13th May 9pm - The Open Hearth, Sebastopol, Pontypool
Saturday 14th May 9.45pm - The Lamb, Penyrheol, Pontypool
Sunday 15th May 3pm - The Queen's Inn, Upper Cwmbran
These free sessions will be attended by TOP musicians and are part of Torfaen Traditional Music's Irish/Welsh weekend.
We had put in for funding to hold fiddle workshops, an Alexander Technique workshop and a concert, but have heard today that the application now won't be dealt with until June. I'm particularly upset by this as I have done the majority of the work towards this weekend.
If you can support this weekend by either attending one of the workshops or the concert, or informing others in the area that it's happening, I'd appreciate it very much. It is cheap entertainment for the quality of musicians that are appearing.
Details of the workshops and concert are on the Torfaen Traditional Music website.
