First we need to know what email client you are using.
Is it webmail or an actual program on your computer ?

If it's not web based email, then just grab the file and drag it into the message.

I can do this with my web-based gmail.
So can my wife with hotmail (web-based Outlook that even has "Add a message or drag a file here" invitation).
