You are paying your solicitor to sort this out for you - get them to sort it and if necessary remind the other sides solicitors about professional conduct rules which do include responding to communication within a reasonable timescale. Either that or if the other side will only respond to letters they need to get typing!.
That said don't discount the possibility that your buyer has told the solicitor to drag it out but is telling you they are frustrated as well - its not unheard of!Adventure before Dementia!0
