just to clarify..
is it now available to benefit receipiants in ALL areas?
is it still invite only?
can each person have an account? (i.e. if couple plus 3 kids all getting IS (not CTC) can there be 5 savings accounts?)0 -
Theoretically by invite only in the six specified areas, but MORI said they take details of non-invitee applicants in those areas in case they do not fulfill their quota.
I have a suspicion that the government is actually targetting those who have their benefits paid into a Halifax account. If you have had an invite please say if your benefit is paid into a Halifax account (mine is).0 -
Paul,
In answer to your question, my IS isnt paid into a Halifax account.... however, when I called them they did ask if I was an account holder!!! the plot thickens... and as you said... strange 2 postings within 2 mins of each other.. on the same day
when this scheme has been running for 2 years....wonder what Martin would say!!!??

Martin has already posted on my thread (see Savings and Investments). He does not agree with people carpetbagging this account without an invite!0
