Blackhorse...........don't give up!

I bought a car from Peugeot in 2002 financed by Blackhorse and was told I would only get the loan if I took out PPI. Being 22 I just happily signed the form and got my shiny new car! In 2010 I decided I would look into this and used the forms off here to make a claim. Blackhorse denied it and I thought this is the end of that. Late last year I was thinking about it again so I again wrote to them and got turned down This time I decided to put my case to the ombudsmen. They have just found in my favour. £13500 loan over 60 months and then they have to pay interest. I have no idea how much I am due but I am glad I pushed on Blackhorse. Apparently they say no to a large number so anyone who had an account with them don't give up! I am looking forward to hearing from them now with an offer. This account was opened 13 years ago as well.

Blackhorse loans where they were sold their own and didnt use a broker have a high uphold rate at the FOS. The 2005 regulation date doesnt matter when a broker/dealer wasnt used but an agent of Black Horse was used instead.
