Released on Chalkmark Records on 3rd September 2007.
Mike Rosenberg - vocals, guitar, Andrew Phillips - guitar, vocals, Marcus O’Dair - bass Alon Cohen - drums and Richard Brincklow - keyboards.
‘Walk You Home’ is the utterly infectious new single from Passenger. With its sunny, upbeat tempo, metronomic beats and spry acoustics the song starts off sounding like a tale of unrequited love as the protagonist says: `I see you nearly everyday but you don’t see me’.
The warmth of the romantic rhythm matched with singer Mike Rosenberg’s nostalgic vocal distracts from the grim reality of what’s really going on with this obsessive and dysfunctional boy. It manages to be upbeat and funny yet simultaneously darkly sinister and once again demonstrates Mike’s talent for writing lyrics in character.
The main beat was created using a trashy 25 year old Casio drum machine and the electric guitar featured was a vintage ‘60s model rescued from a skip in Brighton. So never let it be said that Passenger aren’t doing their bit for recycling and the environment!.
The formats are CD, 7”vinyl and download and the B side is the gorgeous, heartbreaker of a ballad ‘You Need Something’.
Passenger have spent most of this year touring and writing. They’ve recently garnered radio support from the likes of Radio 1’s Jo Whiley, Radio 2, XFM and 6Music and have done sessions with the likes of Janice Long and Dermot O’Leary.
What Have Passenger Spent Most Of Thier Doing This Year?
