Hi my village is due to go 21cn in the next two month, when we are moved to 21cn is this a change of the d-side.?
The reason i ask is that the local BT OR engineers have been saying for a few years there a no good d-sides in the exchange left.
Quite a few people including myself are on the best of a bad lot regarding the d-side, according to the engineers

21cn is basically changing the DSLAM in the exchange to put in one that is capable of providing ADSL2+, so up to 24mbps (if your line is short enough and of decent quality). It does not change the d-side at all (and in most cases the e-side won't change either) unless any of those lines are in such poor state it makes them unuseable. OR will normally only look at changing d- or e-sides if they really have no other choice but to do so..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
