MBNA Card interest

Options
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone thinks it's worth it to just ring up and request a lower rate? Just say your taking yours business elsewhere??

Has this worked for anyone else?

Sometimes this works. It depends on how the card company views you, in terms of how risky your business is to them and how much money they've made out of you in the past. Some card companies are more accommodating than others. I have found MBNA to be more receptive to my requests than some others. This is the reason I've kept my card. One thing I hate about them is they occasionally ring me in the middle of my evening relaxation to try and flog me unwanted insurance etc. but I tolerate this nuissance because occasionally they agree to give me good interest rates.
  • excellent MBNA is the card is was thinking of!!!
